APPLES - Good supply of the most popular local lines: Royal gala, braeburn and granny smith apples, all tasty and very crisp. Also available are Ballarat apples, which are the best cooking apple.
ASPARAGUS - Imported product from California, excellent quality.
AVOCADOS - Plentiful.
ASIAN VEGETABLES - All readily available and excellent quality for example: choy sum, daikon, pac choy, won bok and baby Shanghai.
BEANS Green - Round, locally grown.
BRUSSEL SPROUTS - In season and reasonably priced.
BLOOD ORANGES - Imported from California, and will be in good supply until the end of April.
BERRIES - Blackberries, blueberries raspberries - very weather dependant, best to pre-order.
CAPSICUMS - All locally sourced.
CELERIAC - Readily available.
COURGETTES - Flowers are available as a specialised product, need to be pre-ordered.
CHESTNUTS - Locally sourced and available.
FEIJOAS - Back in season and available for around six to eight weeks.
FIGS – They are back and you will need to pre- order as they only come to market on certain days.
GRAPES - We have seedless black and green and the popular red globe, all imported.
BABY LEEKS - All new season crop. We also stock a full range of baby vegetables to a uniformed specification in 500gram bags. Also available, coloured carrots - yellow, white and red, please pre-order.
LIMES - All locally sourced green fleshed.
ONIONS BROWN & RED - All new season crops.
MICRO HERBS – We carry a wide range, which vary from region to region, please contact your nearest branch for further details.
MAORI POTATOES - New season product currently available, urenika - purple flesh and outer skin; moimoi -purple skin and white flesh; huakuroro - golden-yellow skin and flesh.
MANDARINS - Imported from California, the best I have tasted in a long time.
MELONS (All varieties) - Local season ending and will move to an imported product which will be spasmodic in supply. There will be weeks without a shipment to our shores, and pricey.
MUSHROOMS - All varieties available - Swiss brown, button and flats, along with the specialty varieties: oyster, shitake, enoki, woodear and a medley of the specialty varieties.
PEARS - All new season local nashi, packham and bosc pears, all readily available.
POTATOES - New season potatoes are coming through - agria and nadine. It will be extremely hard to source large potatoes in all varieties this season due to the weather conditions over summer with very little water penetration preventing growth.
PASSIONFRUIT - New season fruit available.
QUNICE - Short season, if large volumes are required please pre-order to avoid disappointment.
SNOWPEAS - Locally sourced and reasonably priced.
SPINACH - Available but very weather dependant, baby spinach always a good alternative.
STONE FRUIT - Apricots, nectarines and peaches - season coming to end. Plums will be around for a few more weeks yet.
SWEETCORN - Season coming to an end.
KIWIBERRY - In season, incredible tasting kiwifruit, no wastage, completely edible and can be used to decorate desserts as well as cocktails.
STRAWBERRIES - Limited availability of local product, will start to supply imported product.
KUMARA - All new season products.
TOMATOES - All varieties and sizes, all locally sourced, excellent quality.
